Ronnie Heller
Independant Choreographer, Movement Director for Stage & Dancer
 

Born in Rochester New York, 1975, lives and works in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Bachelor of Dance and MA in Choreography from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where she teaches.
Teaches at the Theater department in Tel aviv University.
Past member of Clipa theater.

In 2012 founded the Ronnie Heller Dance Theater as an interdisciplinary framework for her ideas, and as an independent production label for her work. Ronnie Heller Dance Theater worked independently as an association, striving to turn into a repertuar dance company with a school and house of its own.

As a continuance and development of short works she created between 2006-2011, she produced and performed “Object Relations” in 2012 - her first full length performance, which was created with the musician and composer Dganit Elkayam and is an intimate and minimalist dance piece that corresponds with Japanese Butoh and other out-of-dance mediums, and examines the interaction between the body and its special and acoustic surroundings.
The work was shown at Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv and other theaters and was received with critical praise.

“Object Relations” embodies many fundamental principles of Heller’s physical theater, which wishes to present work on stage with an anarchistic body, in a minimal surrounding, drawing on influences not necessarily from the worlds of dance and stage.

Following the success of “Object Relations” Heller continued to create and produce performances in cooperation with different artists, as independent productions or within festivals in Israel and Europe.

In 2019, Heller shifted the center of her work to academic teaching and research as part of her Masters in Choreography at the Rubin Dance Academy in Jerusalem, and as further development of her personal exploration of movement. In this framework she researches the relationship between perceptual imaging and production of movement.

Heller leads workshops for dancers, actors and musicians in Europe, and for three year conducts research workshops for practical work with dancers in Lake Studios, Berlin.

רוני הלר - כוריאוגרפית עצמאית, בימאית תנועה לתיאטרון ורקדנית.                  

                                 

 נולדה ב ארה"ב 1975, חיה ופועלת בתל-אביב יפו. 
 

בוגרת תואר ראשון בריקוד ותואר שני בכוריאוגרפיה מהאקדמיה למחול ע"ש רובין בירושלים, ומלמדת שם. מלמדת בחוג לתיאטרון באוניברסיטת תל אביב. חברה לשעבר בתיאטרון קליפה. הקימה את "תיאטרון מחול רוני הלר" ב 2012,  כמסגרת אינטרדיסציפלינרית לעבוד בה על רעיונותיה וכ"לייבל" להגשמת הפקתן העצמאית של יצירותיה.

"תיאטרון מחול רוני הלר" פעל באופן עצמאי כעמותה מתוך חתירה להפוך ללהקת תיאטרון מחול רפרטוארית עם בית ספר ובית משלה.
ב2012 , כהמשך וכפיתוח של עבודות קצרות שיצרה בין 2006-2011  עלה "יחסי אובייקט" – מופע ראשון באורך מלא,אשר נוצר בשיתוף עם המלחינה והמוזיקאית דגנית אלקיים והוא יצירת תיאטרון מחול אינטימית ומינימאלית המתכתבת עם זרם הבוטו היפני ומדיומים חוץ-מחוליים נוספים, ובוחנת את האינטראקציה בין הגוף לסביבתו המרחבית והאקוסטית. העבודה הוצגה בסוזן דלל ותיאטראות נוספים וזכתה לביקורות משבחות.

"יחסי אובייקט" מגלמת רבים מעקרונות היסוד של התיאטרון הפיזי של רוני הלר, המבקש להציג על הבמה עבודה עם גוף אנרכיסטי, ממוקם בתוך סביבה מינימלית השואבת השפעות ממקורות שהם לא בהכרח מעולם הבמה והמחול.

בעקבות ההצלחה של "יחסי אובייקט" רוני המשיכה ליצור ולהפיק מופעים נוספים מתוך שיתופי פעולה עם אמנים משתנים. מופעים אלו עלו הן כהפקות עצמאיות והן במסגרת פסטיבלים בארץ ובאירופה.

ב2019 התיקה רוני את מרכז הכובד של עבודתה להוראה אקדמית ולמחקר במסגרת לימודי התואר השני בכוריאוגרפיה באקדמיה למחול על שם רובין בירושלים וכהמשך של מחקרה האישי בתנועה. במסגרת זו היא חוקרת את הקשר שבין דימוי תפישה והפקה של תנועה. רוני מעבירה סדנאות לרקדנים, שחקנים ומוזיקאים באירופה ומקיימת פגישות מחקר לעבודה מעשית עם רקדנים בלייק סטודיוס בברלין.
